WE Nepal is a non-governmental organization founded in 2016 with a mission to empower women with disabilities in Nepal. Initially focused on helping those affected by the 2015 earthquake, the organization now supports all women with disabilities throughout the country by promoting their rights and improving their access to resources. Activities include awareness and vocational training, legal support, and policy advocacy at different levels. WE Nepal has made a significant impact on the lives of women with disabilities by improving their economic and social status and promoting greater inclusion in Nepalese society.

I am Priya Bishwokarma. I recently turned 21 years old. The earthquake that happened in the year 2072 cost me one of my legs. When this terrible occurrence occurred, I was in eighth grade. I gained knowledge about overcoming obstacles, embracing a new life, and advancing in that life after becoming involved with WE Nepal. Being a recipient of WE Nepal's assistance gave me the boost I needed while also boosting my self-esteem and allowing me to feel more at ease with both myself and my surroundings. I was given the chance to develop new abilities and discover my hidden talents. WE Nepal not only taught me new skills but also provided me with job opportunities, which enabled me to become financially independent. I had the emotion of acceptance and belonging as I interacted and met with other recipients who shared the same condition as me. My realization that I am not the only one to suffer and that I am not alone has been aided by learning about their individual tales. WE Nepal has given us a safe environment for mental, educational, and social development where we can flourish both as individuals and as a community. I picture myself with WE Nepal even in the near future, assisting and encouraging other disabled women on their individual and collective journeys.

My name is Sunita Tiruwa. I belong to Dhading district of Nepal but I am currently residing in Kathmandu the capital of Nepal. I lost one of my legs because of the earthquake that occurred in the year 2072 in my home town. Along with losing my house and limb, I also lost my will to live. The daily tasks I undertook to earn a living became harder as time went on after I lost my leg. We Nepal helped me to move on from my trauma and gave me a new life by opening many door ways for the betterment of my future. I learned many skills and landed a job in We Nepal which boosted my self esteem and will to live. With the generous help from We Nepal I finally felt financially and socially capable. We Nepal has provided me with a platform to interact, learn, grow as well as earn a living out of it.

अपागंता भएका महिलाको आर्थिक सशक्तिकरणलाई लक्षित गरेर स्थापित हामी नेपाल संस्था भूकम्प प्रभावित व्याक्तिहरुको साझा चौतारी हो। सुरुवातमा भुकम्प प्रभावित बाट सुरु गरे पनि विस्तारै सबै खाले अपागंता भएका व्याक्ति र तिनका परिवारको आर्थिक सामाजिक ससक्तिकरणमा विभिन्न जिल्लामा काम गर्दै आएको सस्था हामी नेपालका सस्थापक सवु पौडेल आफैमा एक उदाहरणीय व्यक्ति हुनु हुन्छ। परिवार संगै बसेर अझ आफ्ना अतिअसक्त अपागंता भएका व्यक्तिलाई रेखदेख गरेर घरमै बसीबसी आय आर्जन गर्न सक्ने गरी सामान बनाउने र त्यसको बजारीकरणमा आफैले सहजीकरण गरीदिने गर्नु हुन्छ सवु पौडेल। स्थापना काल देखी यसै संस्था संग जोडीएर मैले देखेको यथार्थता कामको परिणाम खोज्ने र सकारात्मक परिवर्तन गराउने नै हो। काठमान्डौ उपत्याका बाहेक धादिड पर्सा सिन्धुपालचोक नुवाकोट र काभ्रेका सयौ महिला दिदीबहिनी हामी नेपालबाट प्रत्यक्ष लाभान्वित हुनु भएको छ। हामी नेपाल संगै अपागंता भएका महिला र तिनको परिवारको आर्थिक विकासको लागी सबैको सहकार्य र हातेमालो भयो भने अझ धेरै ठाउमा धेरै व्याक्तिलाई शसक्त बनाउन सकिन्छ।

सामाजिक कार्यको अग्रणी स्थानमा हामी नेपाल ,सर्व प्रथम हामी नेपाल सस्थाका स्थापक सहित जोडिएका सबै परिवारहरु प्रति शुभकामना । हामी नेपाल छोटो समयमा धेरै काम र चर्चा बटुल्न सफल एक समाजिक सस्था हो । भूकम्प पश्चात जन्मिएको यस समाजिक सस्थाले निरन्तर समाजिक कार्यको लागि ध्यान दिइरहेको छ । यो सस्था स्थापनाको मुख्य उद्देश्य भूकम्पमा परेर अपांग हुन पुगेका व्यक्तिहरुको मनोबल बढाएर उनीहरुलाई शारिरीक र दिमागी रुपमा चुस्त राख्ने रहेको छ । यस कुरालाई मध्यनजर गर्दै महिलाहरुको आर्थिक सशक्तिकरणको लागि सीप मूलक कार्यक्रमहरु प्रदान गर्दै नयाँ जीवन दिइरहेको छ । उद्देश्य बमोजिम आफ्नो लक्ष्यमा अघि बढि रहेको छ । समाजमा विभिन्न बहानामा पछि पारिएका व्यक्तिहरुको मानव अधिकारको संरक्षण राज्य र नागरिकको प्रमुख दायित्वको रुपमा आउँछ । सोहि बमोजिम राज्य र नागरिकलाई जोडन पुलको काम सामाजिक सस्थाहरुले गरेको छ । निरन्तर अभियानरत हामी नेपाल आफ्नो उद्देश्यमा अघि बढोस र हामी नेपालले नेपालका दूरदराज क्षेत्रका महिलाहरुको आर्थिक सशक्तिकरण उकास्न अझै सफल बनोस शुभकामना छ ।
