WE Nepal was established in response to the devastating 2015 earthquake, which left many women with life-altering disabilities. Recognizing the urgent need for sustainable support, WE Nepal was founded to empower women with disabilities by creating opportunities for economic independence, social inclusion, and leadership development. Since its inception, the organization has been dedicated to providing skill-based training in the production of handmade jewelry, eco-friendly menstrual products, and sustainable accessories, helping women build dignified and self-sufficient lives.

In addition to economic empowerment, WE Nepal actively promotes human rights, mental health awareness, and legal advocacy for women with disabilities. The organization has also expanded its work to rural areas of Nepal, where women and girls with disabilities often face even greater barriers to access, opportunity, and inclusion. By reaching marginalized communities, WE Nepal ensures that its programs support those who are most vulnerable, fostering empowerment and resilience across both urban and rural settings.
